The Challenge
This client focuses on driving business and yet with the changing way of the world, the client knew they needed leaders with more focus on people – developing themselves, their teams and to ruly understand the clients.
The client has one of the most developed learning programmes internally and so this needed to be something different that would really focus on the mindset of each individual, and grow them beyond technical leadership capabilities.
Coaching
The Solution
JET Delivers met with the APAC HR manager to develop a specialised approach. We decided to build the leader’s emotional intelligence and although this would be a cohort who would go through the programme together, it would include individual coaching.
We then included the APAC Managing Director to ensure the best focus and formed LEAP – Leadership Excellence and Awareness Programme. JET acted as the liaison support throughout the whole journey. We conducted the workshops, coordinated the coaches and EQ debriefers, and worked closely with Hays to arrange all the meetings.

The Result
Overall, each cohort’s EQ increased, resulting in greater self-awareness, the ability to build better internal and external relationships, and having the tools and confidence to cope with challenges more effectively.
They are now able to use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way which helped them grow personally and as leaders. The cohort are empowered to think for themselves, make informed decisions and take action.
Reflections from previous participants
"What I learned from the LEAP program is that in the end, action is the only way to go. It became clear to me that in order to grow as a person, nothing will change if I think about it in my head, and nothing will change unless I actually take action. However, although I understood in my head that I had to take action, I had been unable to do so due to fear and lack of confidence. I had been afraid and lacked self-confidence, which made it difficult for me to take action. The coach encouraged me, convinced me why I needed to take action, and pushed me to take positive action. I am now able to communicate confidently with my team, make more effective decision making for my business, and I have more competency and confidence in executing those decisions."
